Unbeknownst to me

This small 2cm x 3cm, black & white sketch, was a doodle and most of them are retained; this one was no exception.

Unbeknownst to me, it would become the origin of the Nicola Copson logo three years later.

There was a fondness to its simplicity and when it came to producing a logo for the books, it seemed only natural to produce a four bird logo with each bird, a representational of family.
